...from our February 2023 newsletter QUICK TECHNIQUE TIP FOR KNITTED CABLES *** From Harry Wells, INTERWEAVE knitting instructor: To close the small holes that form along the left side of a cable (when looking at it from the public side), do this: On the right side, as you move the last stockinette stitch of the cable stitches and are about to do the purl stitch of the reverse stockinette background, wrap the yarn CLOCKWISE rather than counterclockwise to form the purl stitch. Then, on the wrong side row, knit that stitch through the back loop to correct its orientation/mount on the needle. Wrapping the opposite direction uses a smidge less yarn, thus making the hole smaller.. email to say Hi!--kathyknitz@gmail.com
